Manchester United’s return from the international break ended in a 3-1 defeat to Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
Ex-United player, Danny Welbeck opened the scoring early in the first half before second-half strikes by Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro sealed the win for the Seagulls despite Hannibal Mejbri’s consolation for United late on.
The defeat, their first home loss in 13 months, means under-fire manager, Erik Ten Hag’s side have now picked six points from their opening five games representing their worst start since the 2014-15 campaign under Louis van Gaal.
The team have also conceded 10 goals in their last four games, and have also conceded more than one in four successive league matches for the first time since 1979.
Their opponents, however, are on a run of four successive Premier League wins over their hosts.
