Nigeria Striker Victor Boniface Wins Rookie Of The Month Award

Nigeria forward Victor Boniface has won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for August.

Boniface’s Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen made the announcement on their X handle.

The 22-year-old beat RB Leipzig winger Xavi Simons and Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu to the award.

The former Union St. Gilloise striker scored two goals and provided one assist for Leverkusen in August.

Victor is also in the running for the Bundesliga Player of the Month award.

The forward has started his career at Leverkusen on an impressive note.

Boniface is currently on the international break with his country ahead of the various qualifiers.

The likes of Osimhen, Iwobi, Ndidi are all at the Super Eagles camp.
