Veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo has said no amount of upgrade can extinguish the ‘local man’ in him.
Describing himself as ‘heavy loci’ (street style of addressing a true local fellow), he shared a movie scene from a throwback video to drive home his point.
In the movie, the young singlet-wearing RMD could be seen gyrating to Marvellous Benjy’s early 2000’s “New Dance”.
“Galala no dey rule Dem again….konto no dey sweet Dem again o! Makossa no dey rule Dem again. Suo naim be the new dance wey dey reign…”, the thespian sang while he made gestures of the (Swo) dance steps.
Captioning the video, the 60-year-old movie star explained the amount of Warri blood flowing through his vein overwhelming and could never be changed despite any amount of ‘poshness’.
He said: “Always had an old musical soul. Warri too dey my blood. No amount of upgrade can change that. Heavy loci!
