Rasheedat Ajibade Scores As Nigeria Beat Cameroon To Qualify For Semi Final


Nigeria’s Super Falcons have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after a 1-0 win over Cameroon in a quarter-final fixture played in Casablanca on Thursday, July 14.

Atletico Madrid star, Rasheedat Ajibade headed in the only goal of the game in the 56th minute of the game, to ensure Randy Waldrum’s women made it into the final four.

Nigeria will now take on Morocco in order to reach the final tournament.

The four teams who reach the semi-finals at the ongoing WAFCON have picked up automatic tickets for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

So far, Morocco, Nigeria, and Zambia have all qualified to represent Africa at the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
