Many have expressed their opinion saying that they want an Igbo president because it is time for Nigeria to have an eastern president while others state that the presidency was never zoned so anyone can become the president.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Nigerians would next year 2023, troop again to the various polling units throughout the country to elect their leaders including the next president and commander in chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces and the police in accordance with the electoral timetable to be released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
