#JusticeforBamise: Why Are The BRT Buses Not Fitted With CCTV Cameras?- Toyin Abraham Questions Lagos State Government
Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has taken to social media to take on the Lagos state government following the abduction and murder of 22-year fashion designer Bamise Ayanwole who boarded a BRT bus. The actress took to her Instagram page to demand justice for the girl noting that the state is not safe and no one should act like is well when it isn’t.
The actress questioned why the buses are not fitted with CCTV cameras so footage can be recovered of incidents that happen on these buses. She noted that Nigeria has never been safe but a bus owned by the state government being used for such a gruesome act makes the country and state even scarier to live in. She further questioned what steps the government will take to ensure the buses are now safe when people return to use them.
Toyin further shared that people will reach out to the families for measures to help them get justice as nothing can ease the pain the family is in at the moment.
