But things got even worse in recent weeks after Jesy launched her debut solo career and became engulfed in a cultural appropriation storm which set her on a collision course with her former bandmates.

Now sourced have claimed to that Little Mix’s remaining members are throwing in the towel to pursue solo careers of their own.

The source said: “There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Little Mix but it is now very clear that the end of the road has been reached.

News of a possible split comes after a week of negative headlines surrounded Jesy who has been battling accusations that the music video of her debut solo single, Boyz, amounts to cultural appropriation.

The video is an homage to the early naughties music videos of rap and RnB singers – but many music fans have accused the singer of attempting to appropriate black culture and history for her own gain.

Little Mix star Leigh-Anne, 30, found herself embroiled in the furore after a TikTok user named NoHun claimed she had sent a direct message to him urging him to “do a video about [Jesy] being a blackfish”.

Jesy herself has attempted to dismiss claims she had utilised black culture to promote her own music.

In an interview last weekend, as the backlash began, she insisted: “I’m very aware that I’m a white British woman; I’ve never said that I wasn’t. But I mean, like, I love Black culture. I love Black music. That’s all I know; it’s what I grew up on.”

However the backlash refused to subside – and was intensified when Jesy’s Boyz collaborator Nicki Minaj attempted to defend her by branding the remaining Little Mix members “clowns”.

Many fans noted that Jesy laughed along when Nicki addressed the controversial backlash – but also noted she didn’t directly address the backlash herself.
